If you have insurance please bring your card with you to your visit. We will gladly discuss your proposed treatment and answer any questions relating to your insurance. Your insurance is a contract between you, your employer, and the insurance company. We are not a party to that contract. We must emphasize that as medical care providers, our relationship is with you and not your insurance company.
***Please note that, although the UC SHIP plan is technically a PPO-type plan, students must first obtain a referral authorization from a Student Health Center primary care provider BEFORE seeking Acupuncture treatment. If a referral authorization is not obtained in advance for any outside services other than emergency care or mental health care, then the claim will be denied.
